“I am passionate about immigration law because of the times that I have lived and worked abroad. The world is full of genuinely incredible people who I believe will thrive in Canada. I know that my role in their journey to Canada will not only be to their advantage, but to that of Canadians as well, today and in the future.”

Geneviève was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018 after articling at Long Mangalji LLP. Her practice comprises all areas of immigration law including refugee law. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers.

Geneviève holds a Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and European Studies from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in European, Russian and Eurasian Studies from the University of Toronto, where her research focused on comparative European citizenship and migration policy.

During law school, Geneviève discovered her passion for immigration and refugee law. She developed her advocacy skills by working with the International Human Rights Program at the University of Toronto on their immigration detention research, and working with the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights on their submissions to Public Safety Canada and the Department of Justice on Bill C-59. She has also worked at the European Roma Rights Centre in Hungary supporting advocacy campaigns and public interest litigation for Roma access to justice across Europe.

Geneviève speaks English, French and German.
